Importing Images - Digitally

Importing Database Importing Images

After digital images are imported into DataMatch you can verify that the correct data is associated with the correct image.

Vital TipVital Tip: You can ONLY import images (digitally) after you have created a new job.
  • Once you have created a new job, the system will ask if you would like to import your images. Click "Yes".
  • If you did not import your images when you created the job, you can import the images at a later time by opening the job, clicking "Import" and selecting "Import Images".

Your images must be stored in a folder on your hard drive; folders on your Desktop, in My Documents or on a CD cannot be imported. Label your folder with the name of your job. Create a sub folder(s) to store your images. Sub folder(s) must be named 0001, 0002, so-on. NOTE: These folders can store images from different days of a shoot or different photographers at the the shoot.

Steps to Importing Images (when creating a new job)

  1. Click "Yes" to "Would You Like to Import Images at This Time?"
  2. Click "C:/Drive"
  3. Click the images folder, highlight the sub folder with the images you wish to import
  4. Click "Add"
  5. Click "Import". When the system is finished, it will say "Importing Complete".
  6. Click "OK"
  7. Click "Finished"

Your images will appear at the bottom of the input screen. A red square highlights the image you are working on.

Vital TipVital Tip: It is an absolute MUST that you import your sub folders into DataMatch in numeric order. If you don't, your images will be out of sequence causing the job to be printed incorrectly.
